Use the custom ini files posted here
it would be better to just add lines that change red stain, so we can add them to our configs. I want to keep my game settings as they are rn.

Nope, its not bannable.
Its easy to do this, just go to %appdata%/Local/DeadbyDaylight/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/ now open Engine.ini and under other commands hit enter and add this:
[/Script/Engine.RendererOverrideSettings]
r.LightFunctionQuality=0
thats it.
