[Help] DX is being homo
Well every tut i've tried to follow regarding to directX has given me the same problem, I've even just started copying and pasting code just to see if something will work.

I get NO errors in code but whenever I load up the form this is all that appears:

So fml right? I don't know what the hell is the problem but this happens with any project I've started relating to DX, so I'm figuring i'm missing a vital component or the latest version of directX or SOMETHING.

Currently using DX 9.0c June 2010.

Any help would make me e-gasm.

Cheers,

J-Deezy.
Do a DXDiag to see if you are missing components (if that is the viable reason)
Okay i did dxdiag and there's no problems found. But it's still saying my current DirectX version is 11, when the most recent I downloaded was 9.0c (did that tonight)
What OS are you using?

Windows Vista comes with 9.0C and 7 comes with 10/11

Not backwards compatible, meaning you can't install 9.0c over 10/11

I have Vista 64-bit.

I think he is using windows 7. Sure 7 isn't backward compatible, but I've seen software like Happy Direct X Uninstall, so they might be able to do it. Advantage of using such software is that they create a backup of your drivers associated with DX as removing them can cause problems !!!

Edit: Try removing the DX from control panel instead of installing 9.0c directly !!
actually, to me it looks like an image misplaced when the picture was chosen for a picture box. Of course, this is only a hypothesis, so don't bitch about it.

All it was supposed to do is paint the form uniform blue, lol.
Try using DX 11? I don't know why that might help but it could

Right now there's no / little support for writing code using DX 11, so its better to use 9.0c !!
You did not post your code. So how can we tell you attempt to see where the error is if there is one.

Well the fact that 3 completely different DX projects have had the same effect leads me to believe that it's a component I'm missing.

Again the same question, DX 11 or DX 9.0c ???
