Looking to collaborate on a source
Hello. I've spent the last few days 'reviving' a broken Revenge of the Risen source I found online - ported the SWF to Ruffle, fixed server crashes preventing startup, wrote a translation layer to allow Ruffle to talk to the server, and wrote some tooling to get more visibility into server and client errors (Grafana+Loki integration).
The server is back up and working, but its looking rough: broken sprites, broken portals, broken items, etc. Not sure whether continuing this 'salvage operation' is worthwhile.
Because of that, I'm wondering what's the most feature-complete pserver source available out there - maybe that would be a better host to my efforts. I would be grateful if anyone would be willing to give me a tip of where to look. I'd alternatively be willing to work implementing features for someone in exchange for decent source - I have professional xp working with game servers, and would hope to be of some help.
i recommend you use NR-CORE. its what valor is based off of and is a great baseline to start working off of for any modern private server. if you want more content there is 2 renditions of valor on omniraptyr git available as well as project-b by bledixon. if you dont want to use flash (shit old and abandoned) try out AIR which is just boujee flash (quick and simple). flut has some clients available that aren't flash open source.
