First of all i wanna say that i'm new here, and this is my first attempt to mod a CA gun, so please don't be mean xD
Anyway, i've got a problem:
I'va been following
this tutorial (Credits to Purple), Section B - Texture editing. Now step one and two worked out just fine, meaning that i have extracted the correct rez, in my case GUNS_M_PV_AR.rez because i decided to mod the m416. My first problem is, how do i know which file to convert with DTXConvert? Obviously it should be a file with m416 in it, but there were several with m416 in the name. Since i didn't know that, i decided to follow the tutorial and mod the l96a1, so i went back, extracted GUNS_M_PV_SR.rez and went in there to find the appropriate file, which would be PV_L96A1 according to the tutorial. Well, i can't find it, no wait, it isn't there. So once again, how should i know which file to convert?
Now comes problem two, on my attempt to mod the m416 i decided to just try something, i found a file ANI_G_M416_CH. LTB, now i had no idea if this was right, but i just tried to convert it. The convertor said that the conversion was complete, and it was now LithTech. Does that mean that a new file with the .dtx extension has been made, and is ready to be photoshopped? Because that's not the case here... There is no .dtx anywhere, and my photoshop won't open the . LTB. Yes, i do have the plugins installed, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Please could someone help me out with this? Because i have some pretty nice ideas for the m416, and other guns

P.S. The tutorial was posted on 04-27-2010, is it maybe outdated because of some update? And if so, is there a newer, working version available?
