Quick Hackshield FAQ
People seem surprise about the new system of Hackshield and so the only proper way is to guide people on how it works. This is quick as I expect people to post questions and it'll be added to this thread.
--What is Hackshield?--
Hackshield is the anticheating program like VAC1/VAC2 and Punkbuster, the program is Hackshield PRO which is the most advance version of the Hackshield family.
--Why did Hackshield suck at first?--
Hackshield didn't suck, but when you have three branches of company with a Korean software then you're bound to have problems. The Hackshield works just fine, but the stresses of three servers and the need to keep track of the Korea, EU, Middle Eastern, and North American/Pacific area intact.
--Why does Hackshield seem more effective?--
Hackshield became more effective when you don't have one software for three servers, I suppose that the company knew that they need quicker timing and so the company created three specific softwares for each branches. This way that anticheat don't have to focus on more than one players and not stress itself as much.
--How does it work?--
Hackshield detects cheat by hooking, hooking is when you hook your .dll of the hack to the Engine.exe or a specific .dll. When a hook is detected, your account will be banned because the anticheat detected something. To fix this, you need to hide your hook and this is only done by VIP, as hiding your hooking process is often a pain. Hackshield also find it, by memory scans, the scan will watch over the files of the game and it'll run 24/7 as soon as your computer boot up, the scan will kick in. This is a rootkit and that is a virus on your computer, the kit simply does it job and when it detected a memory change, the account will be banned or have a 'red flag' by the company.
--How can bypass it?--
Typical, you need a bypass, the bypass will hide the hooking into something innocent and you can use the hack all you want. Many VIP of VAC1 and VAC2 games have specific disabler for the VAC, so it does not detect the hooks. You can't actually disable the program, but you can put it to 'sleep.'
