Full Idling Tutorial [For Beginners]

How to idle like a fucking PRO in Team Fortress 2
1. Open Steam Library
2. Right-click Team Fortress 2
3. Open Team Fortress 2 properties
4. Click "Set Launch Options"
5. Copy paste the following:
-applaunch 440 -textmode -nosound -window -nopreload -novid +map ctf_2fort +maxplayers 2 +sv_password "likeabaws"
6. Launch Team fortress 2
7. Idle without wasting any of your computer's resources (apart from a little bit of your download/upload speeds)

TO CHECK YOUR DROPS:
1. Grab your Steam URL (http://steamcommunity.com/id/idnamehere OR http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/00102920)
Replace "steamcommunity" with "tf2itmes" (http://tf2items.com/id/idnamehere OR http://tf2items.com/profiles/00102920)
2. Place your backpack link into your browser.
3. Scroll down to where it says "The following items were found but not yet placed in the backpack." Those are your drops.

you dont, text idling gets you ingame..

I find this method more usefull and less comlex. Plus TF2 won't let me open my console.

did you tick the spot that says enable console?
steam console should open without any problem...

I never played TF2 why do u need to idle?

i am a little lost, i understand the first concept of idling. but whats text idling? i dont understand how it works..
From my understanding, it means it runs tf2 via text only.. but what i dont understand is.. don't you need to be in a server in order to get items?

i'm asking becuase i like to use minimal resources and stuff.. cuz.. from time to time i will be running alot of things..

Seems stupid to leave cmputer on all day and nite.. whilst having the game open.. massive electricity waster and resources..
then again leaving it on in the first place already is.. i just need it to run int he background..

Idling is when you leave your computer on overnight, then collect items, since the game thinks you're just playing, when in reality you're AFK.

It basically just runs as a little text window that looks just like the CMD.
It creates a listen server, which is created through the game. The one I have set up is a LAN-only 2 player locked server, so there's absolutely no way someone else can join.

My friend said they banned a MASSIVE stack of people for idling..
Can you still get banned for it?
cuz everyone is claming you cant.. but alot of people got banned recently because of Idling..
and you get some stupid cheater thing on your game. ( i got the halo <3)

Looking as mass idling.. but the premium account concept is too pricey and i cbb also.. since i wont ever use those accounts.. but i might end up getting some keys for my brother's new account anyways since his friend did some majorly hacks..

Danger Monkey, I love you. I've been idling using your method for about 3-4 hours and I have 3 weapons so far. <3

Idles for 24 hours, obtains 4 weapons.
Plays for two hours obtains 9.
I THOUGHT THE CAP WAS 11?
Also idling doesn't work that well.
