Weapon hack?

What exactly does the weapon hack do? I know it changes my gun, but is it only for me?
If i change the m16, to a gold ak, is it only me that can see it, other people still see the m16? Because the killfeed it's still an m16?

I know that.. But I'm asking, can anyone else see it? If they can, i wont use it. Due to the killfeed still being a m16, and ill get kicked.
