Combat Arms. But I don't want a video game as my avatar I want somethign like GFX or something.

Nahh. Just go google something. If you want an avatar that bad, take the time to search for one.

Also, it seems you didn't know this: If you go to change your avatar and pick one that "doesn't fit" it will automatically shrink it to the maximum size you can have. So you don't really need to worry about that as much as you think.

Freeware=/=Good.

Photoshop is free if your torrent it, has way more options.

However, if you play by the rules, go with Gimp.
