Screen Resolution problem, help please =(

Just bought a new laptop, and when i opened Combat arms and changed screen resolution to 800 x 600. nothing changed =/

can anyone tell me what i have to do in order to make screen resolution change?

if you changed the resolution through combat arms settings you will only notice the change ingame
