Cs 1.6 help please

Hi!!!! When i open counter strike 1.6 the gun is on the left hand... ive tried to go to the option menu and advanced settings and it didnt work. my game runs in software mode. And every time i try to change it to D3D or OpenGL it wont work it just changes back to soft ware mode?
Any 1 who can help that had the same problem?

Put your Config.cfg on Readonly and delete the usercondig.cfg and put this command in your config.cfg: cl_righthand "1". Or make or edit a userconfig.cfg and put it on readonly and put this command in it: cl_righthand "1"
