Post Bans

Why do people make such a big deal about post bans? I dont really find any big significance of them. Is it just like a sort of tradition MPGH has or what?

Well back the the day advancing 1000 posts was actually a major accomplishment because of the fact that there weren't very many users so in turn there weren't very many discussions happening at once. the 1337 ban happened back in the day because of the whole l33tsp34k movement happening at the time. Now days it is just due to legacy, we didn't always have post bans though.

Yes.. It is a tradition if you're a general poster. By that I mean; you frequently post in the General forum.

You are wrong, everyone gets a post ban. It is a tradition to the forums not just the General Section mate.

The bans arent automatic so when somone hits the 1337 or 2000 or whatever we still need a general thread to warn the admins |:

No sometimes I just message someone and say hey ban me for post ban Or post it somewhere else and mention someone.

It's just a little thing we do. It is just a little achievement you can work for.

No, you are you. Don't speak in matters which you have no knowledge of. If you post in general, then you have to have a post ban. If you don't post in general then you don't have to get a post ban.
