Thoughts on Kai?

haven't seen a bad kai yet...every one I've seen has done well in battles. maybe he is easy?
he's hella easy, but I see a lot of people being like pussies and do long shots, instead of doing quick shots, get more sp, and use their skills.
He's fun, only reason why I didnt quit Vindictus.

Agreed.

Yea I second that thought. I'm really not feeling the function of the Longbow other than a mean to get breakoffs.

I take it you havent use charged shots on wisps bosses and enemies with large frames yet, it super fun, and massive damage too

you know, I actually tried doing only long shots, but its no fun holding left mouse button for 2 seconds, I rather spam it, then dodge, then use skills, and hopefully use prey dive 'cause its so OP.

but if you don't know the bosses attacks, or trying to remember them since you havent played for a long time because you were waiting for kai (like me) then long shots are your best choice.

I also see people complaining that kai is OP, what do they expect from an ultimate range char?

TBH, i think if you found sniping is boring then you shouldn't be playing an archer at all, cause that the whole point, but opinions and preferences over logic anyway.

If you're referring to the Magnum shot then yes, it is definitely another thing that I forgot to mention in respect to utilizing the longbow. Magnum shot is win (Y)

its not boring now since these bosses are so much harder.
The beauty is that he can be played both ways to fit everyone's playstyle so there is no need for argument since both are viable.
He's not as bad as I was afraid he was gonna be. By "not as bad" I mean he's not as OP. He's still easy-mode when compared to someone like Lann and is the most OP character next to Staff Evie. I can say, though, that I have never lost in DPS to a Kai of similar level, throughout all level ranges, unless I majorly screw up. And there lies one of Kai's biggest advantages, shortbow Kai is by far the hardest to screw up, which is why many will perform at least reasonably well.

no, the long bow kai who stays far behind to snipe the boss is the hardest to fail. hold left, release, hold left, release, hold left, release, hold right release.... oh nos he's coming my way, double space!

Screwing up in my book means not either dps'n or getting the breaks. I think Kai will be easy to tank for most kids since most can't even play Lann or Karok well.

If just simply staying alive = success then yea, longbow + chainlink will be easy to do well.
