Quick Question about Stolen CD Keys
I've recently stole a copy of XCOM Enemy Unknown from Best Buy and the CD Key that came with the game, If I redeem the CD Key on steam will I get banned?

Well, first off stealing shouldnt happen its not lawful, also most stores have the codes deactivated until bought at the register and then they are active. The code might not work. For example, you want to buy a Visa Gift Card so you can buy some stuff off of ebay and you have no money so you take it home without paying, it will not work because most codes on items like cards or games are fake UNTIL bought and activated by the cashier of the register.

Not to be rude but I thought I answered the question, "it will not work because most codes on items like cards or games are fake UNTIL bought and activated by the cashier of the register."
Contact Steam support and ask them if you'll be banned for activating a stolen Steam game, lol. But really, if you are banned, you can just deny stealing it. It probably just wont work.

Well, I used the key. Nothing happened yet, I have gotten the game, but haven't played it yet. I'll let you people know if I get banned or not.
