Every bodies career path here seems like how good of a programmer/hacker they are.

well hey everyone im 15 going on 16 and ive got no idea what to do when im older im just doing the it course at school that covers a variety of diffrent areas in using applications and coding scripting modeling and i really havent found an area yet where i really like what i do so ya dunno yet hopefully il get a stable job doing something that i like tho

I mostly refine to art based skills:
Accredited Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, most used skill is pencil art, ranging from pencil portrait to fantasy to whatever. Currently work in Screen Printing and Digital Printing which includes a lot of digital design, never been big on vector art although I am quite adept at it. All art and techniques I call my own as I am self taught (don't mistake my degree in fine arts as having anything to do with my ability to draw, I drew long before getting the certificate, and haven't really learnt anything new from it, and still not sure why I did it...? maybe to prove to myself I could? not sure) I have very recently begun digital drawing (again self taught) and have to give respect to people that do this, because I'm finding it really fuck'n hard lol

Where do I see myself in the future? Hopefully as a Character Designer for a game company, or Storyboarding for movie productions... we'll see which comes first.

As far as Programming goes, I have been learning Objective C in my own time along with Java via Uncle Google and ebooks. I have managed to learn about Network hacks along my travels and continue to learn other scripting languages. Before MPGH I knew absolutely Zero, so massive credit goes to the MPGH community right here in the ROTMG section, you are all awesome, learnt way more than I realised <3 Before all this, the last computing I would have done was on a Commodore 64, spending days writing out code just for a simple sprite to bounce across my screen :/

Don't want to be the guy to revive a dead thread but I'd like to share what I do

I'm 16, a junior in a rather prestigious HS, and have been teaching myself Java, starting Obj-C and C++, and HTML/CSS. Next year I am enrolling in two computer classes over the required minimum of two to hopefully impress some colleges :P I'm taking Honors Advanved Java and AP Computer Science to hopefully push my small knowledge of coding. I hope to go to either Texas A&M or Villanova to major in a combination of Computer Science and Computer Engineering or solely one of them (I haven't quite decided yet :P). I don't have any guaranteed positions at Google or Microsoft and because of that I have been working over my summers at movie theaters getting minimum wage and odd jobs around the neighborhood. I spend a lot of my time making automated tasks. One of my latest accomplishments was creating a bot for a Twitch channel that works in a very similar way to NightBot or Moobot. My next goal is to develop a tweak to upload for jailbroken iDevices. That reminds me, as a kid (9-11 years old) I spent a ton of time going through apps' file directories and figuring out how to hack iPhone apps and edit certain parameters that could be uploaded to other people's devices.
If anyone has any advice as to something that would get colleges to look at me and consider accepting me, I would greatly appreciate it

a)want their career to be
or
b)think their career will be

Either way it is valid information. Some of the younger users here (most of the people who haven't graduated highschool/college yet) don't have a career path, they just have the skills that they are capable of and use that to express their career path.
