Forth, Windows 8 is inherently faster, has feature support (they cut that off for win7 already) and supports DirextX 12 which is what most games will run in the future.
I almost feel bad for Microsoft because no-one is willing to accept any change that IS fully superior to the previous OS.

New start menu really isn't that bad, don't like it taking full screen though.
I don't really see a problem with windows 8, it took some getting used to but afterwords I think I like it more then windows 7.
