Think of the process as being you are completely from out of town and having to go grocery shopping.
First you need to know what neighboring town to go to (base address) that has a grocery store.
Then you need to find out where the store is, but you just cant go STRAIGHT to the store (because you dont know where it is), you have to go to the visitor information building first (first offset).
From there, you cant just waltz into the store and grab that can of pringels - you first have to get a map of the store (second offset). Again, since those clever bastards at your grocery store change the layout all the time, you cant just go where it was last time.
Finally, you can start shopping. So the map of the store tells you that Pringles are located in Aisle 7 and the sign above aisle 7 says the pringles are located on shelf 4.
Those pringles can also have attributes like flavor, calories, size, etc.
So... in order to get one single crisp of potato chip, you can NOT just go straight to the grocery store and grab them and start munching. You have to: Go to the neighboring town, go to the visitor information center, go to the store, go to the aisle and finally shelf to get the chip.
So... to abbreviate, Potato Chip is located at:
smallsVille] + vistorCenter] + bigShopStore] + aisle7] + shelf4
Just as in DayZ your local player x-coordinates (in stable .49)
is
base]+localPlayerOffset]+localPlayerOffsetPointer]+visualStateOffset]+xCoordinateOffset
or
0xFAFFF0] + 0x1698]+0x4]+0x24]+0x28 which is a float.
I am sure this is far far FAR more confusing now but that is how it works in my head.
Understand this concept, and the rest becomes a lot clearer.
I am sure I could come up with a metaphor about how to itterate tables but seriously, once you have the above concepts, things like tables and such and tables within tables are....
wait for it....
