Crytek CryEngine 3
Crytek has announced that all developers can now take advantage of various features of its new graphics engine, the CryEngine 3. "Next-Gen-Ready" as like to call these gentlemen from Crytek, the latter can be used both for Playstation 3 on Xbox 360, but also to creating games compatible DirectX 9 and DirectX 10, or massively multiplayer games.

The new engine incorporates a new version of the CryEngine Sandbox 3, an editor to work in real time on the levels of a game ( "What you see is what you play). But that's not all because a new system called Create CryEngine 3 Live allows developers to work on a single publisher, and instantly see the result on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 or PC. The engine operates in real time conversion and optimization of different elements, allowing you to view on each platform changes.

Finally, conclude by stating that Crysis 2, still scheduled to be available on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, will use all the features of this new engine.
