Hey Guys.
Im thinking of this now for a longer time and now i thought it would be the time to post a thread about it here.
Im sure everybody of you guys thought about it, the Perfect 1:1 Realm of the Mad God Private Server.
There are so many Servers out there so different but so equal.
So my thought was why we dont united this "huge" community to one big Project.
All Coders,Mapmakers,Spriters,Players,Payers united to 1Project.
Like we make a Website with with Forum,different threads only for that Project and in the Credits wont stay Name of People there would only stay the Name of the Project that we made TOGHETER!

Why Weird ist a Great idea

Some people (implying that many that it'll become a nuisance) would just hustle their 5 seconds in paint weapons that hit like 1000-1337 and they'll try to explain others that it will be really rare so it doesn't matter if it's OP.

So you think putting together a couple of guys that can at most code something on top of a source that is given will make any source more stable? Because let's be honest, all the rest is secondary..

(Here is where I would go on with my argumentation but the 4/5 of your thread is worded like a complete retard would do so.... u mAd brahhh?)

Nope wouldn't work.

It would be like leaching if Ossi was to join in. Even if Travoos or Kithio joined in, the whole source would be screwed up as most people in the community will not be able to handle it in my opinion

Knowing the big gap within the coding levels of people in the pserver community, this will not work and will turn into a disaster trying to make everyone agree on something and having sure someone doesn't fuck up. Also what is the point of just having one big server that has nothing special about it at all. If you want interest maybe tell people why it may be worthwhile.

One word, QoQ (Quality over Quantity). Its better to have two good developers (Like @ossimc82 (<3 luv u Fabian)), than ten shitty developers (Like ten kierons (sorry m8 dont know your mpgh name, could just open skype and ask you right now but I don't feel like doing that.)). I doubt you will get good/actual coder in your team.

It could work but you don't give everyone admin over the git. Only one or two should actually manage the source while everyone that wants to contribute makes pull requests to the repo. That way managers could ensure the quality of the commits and you don't get a source that is raveling out of control (in terms of stability). Maybe projects already do this, idk. The couple projects I've been allowed to make contributions to didn't have this in place.
