Requesting PC Build
Hello fellow MPGH members! Long time no see!

I'm building a PC for a friend of mine and his budget is around $800.

He needs this computer for gaming and editing videos as well.

Can anyone help me with this build?

Thanks!
Sup.

Here's what I'd choose. The cheapest I could find for all the parts is around £600 or $950 over here but it's probably gonna be cheaper in 'murica.

The Components:
  • Case: Corsair 230T Graphite Series Black Mid Tower Case
  • PSU: Corsair CP-9020048-UK Builder Series CX 600W Power Supply
  • HDD: Western Digital Caviar 1TB Green SATA III - 6Gb/s Hard Drive
  • CPU: Intel CPU Haswell i5-4670K 3.4GHz Socket 1150 Quad Core
  • CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler
  • RAM: Corsair Memory Vengeance Jet Black Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
  • Graphics Card: MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming 3G Twin Frozr IV OC PCI Express Graphics Card

Pretty much the same as mine and it plays games fine, records at a consistently decent framerate, keeps temperatures low, and I edit all of my videos with not much problem too.

Just to switch something out, don't get that Hard Drive. It's a 5400 RPM. Get the Caviar Blue, it's $2 cheaper and it's 7200 RPM.

Here's a better build.

If you didnt go with his build, you should go with an AMD FX 8 Core CPU. Physical cores are better for video rendering.

+1 to this.

I'd also recommend him to save up some more, and get 16GB of RAM.

16GB of RAM is ideal for video editing and recording but this can be added later. I'd suggest just going with the 8GB for now and then upgrading to 16GB later when your friend has the money. Simply adding 2x4GB sticks would be okay cos the motherboard has 4 available slots.
So predator is being scammer?
