Open Source Projects
Alright so pretty much everybody knows what "Open Source" means, but does anybody really contributes to it? What I am trying to do here is to create a team of coders willing to take part on something really cool. This doesn't mean that I want a bunch of coders to help me write a software or something, what I am talking about is a group of coders willing to contribute and share their work online for free.

It can be everything starting from easy apps like text editors, to a little bit more advanced software like chat clients to more complex ones like servers and image editors and even debuggers or compilers. This will boost productivity and audience. Every piece of work can then be uploaded online and begin shared for free. I am still looking for more ideas but I think with the right determination we would be able to reach a great goal. Releases will be under the general GNU license.

Please share your ideas here and tell me what you think.
Seems to be quite interesting.

I am pretty sure there's plenty coders out there willingly to take part in this. But it seems to me now that there's a vast amount of group that already done this long ago. Why don't you just contributed to them rather than creating a new one?

Just an opinion I guess & good luck.
You can create an organization on Github for this, you (and each member of your team) need only one account. For me, it is simpler to handle and manage your team.

I recently had a similar idea and tried to organize it in a Brazilian forum, but the lack of interest of the participants was higher and demotivate me a lot, so I abandoned the project and delete the organization.

What do you want to create? Frameworks, libraries and other things like this? Develop for developers?

Yeah, but not only this. You know anything that might come in handy in an everyday situation.

You seem like the kind of guy who could make the next Tor.

A very talkative and slightly annoying guy, but I can see you being that guy.

As for your open source project, I think you can find people outside of MPGH who fit the bill.
