is VAC ban permanent?

All VAC bans are permanent - Valve has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating and will not lift VAC bans under any circumstances.

VAC bans are automated, but mistakes are common in software. If you are here, you probably deserved VAC ban.
Otherwise, VAC bans are permanent.
