Three Women Investigated For Catfishing ISIS And Getting $3300 For A Holiday Off Them

Chatting to strangers on the internet is always a dangerous game. You’ve got no idea really who the person at the other end truly is. So when you know they’re members of ISIS, you should probably avoid catfishing them.
Three girls from Chechnya in Russia were contacted by ISIS recruiters on social media. Rather than immediately report them to the authorities, these girls decided to try and get a holiday out of them.
We sh*t you not, they tried and succeeded in getting $3300 out of the terrorist group by saying they needed the money to get to Syria, when in fact they were just low on cash and fancied a break.

They were discovered however and are now under investigation for fraud, according to RT News.
The girls are alleged to have sent the ISIS members fake pictures and strung them along for months in order to get the cash. Once the money was transferred, they closed down their accounts and ceased all communication.

I don’t recall any precedent like this one in Chechnya, probably because nobody digs deep enough in that direction. Anyhow, I don’t advise anyone to communicate with dangerous criminals, especially for grabbing quick money.Valery Zolotaryov, speaking to local Chechen newspaper
