Trying to get into crypto

I've been lurking for a little bit of time on this form and I have about 2k-4k to invest and I really don't mind sitting on it for even 10+ years or if there's something big happening currently I should invest in? I wanted to invest in ETH, long term, anything you recommend I do if I do invest in a specific crypto?

ETH is pretty stable atm, I recommend you invest in new coins that come out that are cheaper and get you a greater profit. Personally I have a pretty high risk tolerance so I usually like High-Risk High-Reward but its up to you. ETH is really stable so you wouldn't really lose a lot of money if you don't profit especially if you're thinking long term.

Why do you think new altcoins (also known as shitcoins) are a safe investment?
Most altcoins follow the trend of BTC anyways so safer investment would be BTC or any of the coins with a better market cap.
New shitcoins are a complete gamble.

I agree with you on ETH though, decent coin to hold and I don't see it dropping drastically.

ETH and BTC are the big boys at the moment, all the other coins follow BTC's movement so BTC is a good coin to hold.
It is at a bit of a peak atm so you could wait for it to crash if you are worried about short term loss, but long term (1+ year) BTC is a good bet.

Imo, bitcoin is trash and only big because it was first to market. Its one of the shittest coins. Ethereum has SO many use cases, so many people can build on it. Ethereum is the way to go. Bitcoin doesn't have much potential of a 10x gain. Ethereum does. That is, if you are just wanting to hold it for a long period of time without trading.

you really just need to bounce back and forth between different rising and falling cryptos.

I am curious to see what experience you have. Ever heard of Raven Coin (RVN)? This "ShitCoin" gained me $10k from mining it myself.
