I honestly like it. The only irritating factor is the redesigned start menu. You can restore the win7-style start menu by installing Start8. Overall, my system felt rejuvenated. My games ran about 10-15 frames higher.
I dropped back to Win 7 since Win 8 was giving my GPU random crashes. I'd go back if I could find a fix.

I hate it for multiple reasons. Removal of ribbon system, dumbed down task manager, but the thing I hate the most is that I can't run any of my DAW software on it, and I have Studio grade software that the big producers use as well. I'm also not a personal fan of metro, the whole tablet look is an eye sore, but that's a personal opinion.
Only thing I know is bad with Win8 is that most older software isn't compatible. You can search online to find a compatible installation and most programs have that.
sticking with win7
XP anybody?
I'm not saying it sucks, but I'm basing my opinion off Windows 8 Is A 'Catastrophe' According To Gabe Newell - Valve Hedging With Steam On Linux - Forbes
In Gabe we trust.
If Gabe hates it I hate it.
Nah but srsly, I don't rike.
I just downgraded from Windows 8. I missed Windows 7.
I don't use every tiny bit of the features, so I adapted quickly to it
I'm currently running Windows 8 Pro 32-bit and I love it. My system feels way smoother and more responsive. I love all the apps.
Installed Windows 8 on my laptop months before it was fully released... at first I thought it was fucking awesome and then I fucking hated it.

tony is a fucktard
Sure, I have not tried yet, but I've only heard that it's not as good as it should be.
And I could compare it to the jump from XP to vista.. Vista blows.
And this is pretty much the same thing so far.
It's windows 7 with a retarded touch-overlay and it makes everything overly complicated.
And so far it's not too good with games and have pretty bad driver support.
Conclusion, it's windows 7 for people that want extra flashy stuff that really doesn't have a purpose.
