SniperNuclear (02-10-2013)
Sounds really weird but i just readed that.
Maybe its old news but i didnt know about this, i just readed it on a Dutch News website.
It says(Translated from Dutch to English with google):
The Ukrainian town of Chernobyl is safe enough for people 26 years after the biggest nuclear disaster in history. The radiation level has fallen sufficiently.
What do you guys think?
SniperNuclear (02-10-2013)
Still off limits in certain areas

If people think about opening Chernobyl back to the rest of the world, we can still suffer from nuclear radiaton over time, and in further generations. (I.E. Horned babies, 3 legged, etc) Those type of mutations had happened after the accident.

It will take over 100 years before that area is safe. I wouldn't even send my kids kids kids there.
Yes....up to that time. Plutonium and Uranium are very heavy metals that are mined for their quality to generate heat and energy form their manipulation of the nucleas. That's why they have to cool the reactors with water when they extract the energy/heat from the metals to run the nuclear plant by oxidising the nucleas. When this is done the metals become depleted and omit severe radiation that can last up to 150 years. Depending on the amount of depleted Plutonium or Uranuim at that site it may only take 100 years. Scary stuff. Did you know that these metals are up to 7 times heavier than lead, but are not as dense as gold..........
