thats different, in that situation he lost money, because he paid money in order to be able to redistribute those candy bars (aka he buys the candy bars and resells them)

deca does not buy the gold they distribute

They "buy" gold with their work on the game. They have support staff, admins, and developers and they bought the game. This backs the worth of gold, while it is physically created and distributed for no cost, it doesn't mean it doesn't have any worth to the company.
