How? Right now you have the option to edit the entire game to your liking, massive power to you lol I like to keep it realistic though, don't wanna go overboard however, the possiblity of ruining the game is there.

Ugh I have a new problem.
I tried changing spear dmg so its 1hko, but my game won't start.
Hfssign says its successful, but after I copy the new .dat file and hfs file to the vindi folder it gives me file error 37. If I delete the uptodateinfo.dat file all together i get another file error.

Here is a ss of the commands i typed in.

Your UpToDateInfo.dat file isn't in that directory, silly mistake :P

Did you back up your old UpToDateInfo.dat, resign the HFS file with the original UpToDateInfo.dat and it will work again, I had the same problem earlier.

No the UpToDateInfo.dat file its in the hfssign folder along with the hfs file

Your screen shots show your file as VCD File have you messed up the extensions or is it really VCD file, it should be a DAT file.

I tried to upload the clean file here but doesn't let me, sorry if someone can upload it would be good help to some people.

Its a dat file lol, its just that media player classic is seeing it as a VCD file, My problem was that i was using the old hfssign exe, did not think this was a new one for some reason. now that i did that i am getting a making the file larger msg but when i hit yes,y or enter nothing happends

EDIT: Nevermind i forgot to take out the .comp from a file

Oh okay, now to fix your last problem(Hopefully) lol, take a random file and throw it into the HFS zip file before you turn it back to HFS, it's cause right now your HFS file is smaller than original size, that's all.

@mrperez816 Stop using the old hfssign...

@Innoway Which files are you editing? Asking so I can do some debugging because I personally have never played Vindictus and know next to nothing about actual game feature relevant hacks. Try what ubiByte suggests first. To obtain a clean UpToDateInfo.dat, delete CurrentInfo.txt and run the game.

I'm editing:
expression_table_base.txt.comp in 564E36A29E02897F48E11F46315ADB840C268E3E.hfs
It's a text file with numerical values of secondary weapon damage and bomb radius...etc
And yea I'll try again with a clean uptodateinfo.dat

@Fovea Geesh should have known, thought the old hfssign was the same lol

Put your edited hfs file into nexon's hfs folder and also remember you now have a "UpToDateInfo.dat.new" file, backup the original, rename this file to "UpToDateInfo.dat" and go into your vindictus folder and overwrite the old one with this one and your good to go.

Did all of that, i am retracing all my steps and redoing it from scratch now that i got everything to extract and compile without errors, maybe i did something wrong with a file.

will update if i bypass that error
