What would religion be if we found out about the origin of humans?
Do you guys think that finding out where we come from, how we were made, who made us, etc... is constructive?
In other words: Is it going to get us anywhere?
I realize it's interesting and all that but I mean.... how valuable can it be?
What would religion be if we found out about the origin of humans?
Origin is important in all aspects, If we are unaware of our origins our beliefs would fall on false statements or statements that cannot be considered truth. Determining the origin of humans and the study of our past will help us create a better future for ourselves. But that's just my opinion .
The problem with finding the origin is two things.
1. It's not exactly "profitable". It's a long shot at best, and all that time spent could be put to better use.
2. The way to find the origin is all based on guessing. Educated and intelligent, but guessing all the same. Unless you have a way to travel or look back in time, it's theory after theory after theory.
The good things are minimal but helpful.
1. In the extreme off chance origin finding is successful, the technology used might be helpful for other stuff.
2. Maybe the origin contains some sort of technology that hasn't been discovered, highly unlikely.

For those saying "we have to know our origin" shut the fuck up. You don't know your goddamn geneology right now, who the fuck cares where humanity came from.
Using the knowledge, do you think we could create other races?
Can't we just tell people that we have found god, lure them to that location and then lock them in.
Little do they know that it's actually a giant meat-grinder.
