Sorry for the noob question what does auto-updating mean? Does the hack auto-updates when the author of the hack updates it?

In simple terms: No. What auto updating is referring to for this hack is that the hack will auto detect when CS:GO has new offsets and will automatically update them. You still need to check the thread/forum for new releases/updates
